Armed forces veterans and spouses, numbering nearly 60, were honored at a Veterans' Day Program at PRHS at November 10. After being served breakfast, the PRHS band and choir students performed a patriotic selection of songs. Guest speaker Jim Clemenson, a Vietnam-era veteran, concluded the program by sharing 'what it means to be a veteran' with humorous and solemn passages about life as a soldier. Despite the hardships, most veterans would "do it all over again in a heartbeat...because you deeply love this country of ours and you're very proud of it...our past, present, and future military members all the sacrifices that have been made by them and their families for us to live in this great country. Veterans make these ultimate sacrifices. We must remember them," concluded Clemenson.
