  • Title One Paraprofessional-Viking Elementary

     

    Reports to: Building Principal

    General Summary: Title One paraprofessionals assist students with targeted interventions under the direction of a certified teacher. The Title One paraprofessional work with teachers to identify and deliver targeted interventions to support academic and social growth.

    Qualifications: 60 College Credits or passing ParaPro Exam required

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assisting students in achieving academic success
    • Working with students who may be aggressive or disruptive in class
    • Behavior support which includes physical management
    • Social integration
    • Consultation and collaboration with Regular Education Teachers as well as related service staff
    • Any and all other duties as may be assigned

    Essential Job Functions:

    The ability to work with other to create a positive academic experience.

    The ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

    The flexibility to adapt to changing job assignments to meet the needs of the school district.

      

    Reading and Math Tutors for Viking Elementary
