• Viking Elementary would like to welcome the graduating class of 2035 to kindergarten.  This will be an exciting time for these students as they begin journey of making new friends, learning, laughing, playing, and becoming future leaders.

The doors at Viking Elementary will open at 8:00 am.  If students need to be dropped off before this time, please go to Club Vikes Registration and sign up for Club Vikes.  Club Vikes is will open before school at 7:00 am and closes after school at 6:00 pm.  Students in kindergarten to sixth grade can attend Club Vikes but need to sign up in advance.

Parents that are dropping off students before school please use the new and improved Chauncey Martin parking lot.  Chauncey Martin parking lot had a major face lift this summer with new sidewalks and blacktop.  No vehicles should enter the drop off lane in front of the school while buses are dropping off students.

The school day at Viking Elementary is from 8:15-3:05.  If your student is sick and will not be attending school, please call Gwen Lass at (218)863-5910 ext. 5354.

Viking Elementary has been named by the American Heart Association as a recipient of the Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge grant in the amount of $1500.  These funds will support a portable sound system at Viking Elementary.  The American Heart Association is working with over 32,000 schools in a nationwide movement to change the course of heart disease, stroke and congenital heart defects finally and forever.  The Kids Heart Challenge and American Heat Challenge grant program was developed to allow schools to implement a variety of wellness activities with additions such as physical activity equipment and resources that will impact our school.  We would like to thank Mrs. Meester for all her work over the years for helping raise money for the American Heart Association.
