Celebration of Cultures
This is a beautiful event where young women dress in their finest formal gowns and come together to celebrate each other’s cultures and company. This formal event was started in 2017 as a way to give all girls a prom-like experience. Because most of our Somali girls are not allowed, by their families, to attend prom in the Spring (because of the "dating" rules within their culture) this has become an amazing opportunity for all high school girls to participate in this type of event. The evening begins with a social hour, dinner, program with guest speaker, and dancing.
