• Welcome to the Pelican Rapids Schools Activities page

The Pelican Rapids Schools has many opportunities for students to be involved with our rich tradition of excellence in academics, athletics and the arts. Our state-of-the-art facilities include the Al Siegle Activities Center for our indoor sports and activities and our Fine Arts Auditorium is used for school and community performances and events.

We encourage all students to take advantage of the wide range of academic and co-curricular opportunities in our unique small school setting.

    Go Vikings!

Students who participate in Activities/Athletics must pass a physical examination every 3 years (grades 7 and 10), file the physical with the Activities Director’s office, pay all activity fees and provide insurance coverage before practicing and/or playing in a game.

The District will be following the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) health and safety guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic. MSHSL website: mshsl.org

Only school sponsored activities will be allowed inside the school buildings at this time (no in school Community Ed classes or Open Gym).

As our numbers continue to climb in Otter Tail County, the Pelican Rapids School District is only allowing school sponsored activities inside the building at this time. Let’s slow the spread by doing our part of wearing a mask, washing hands and avoiding gatherings.  Our goal at the School is to continue with our current learning models. The more we can work together the more successful we can be. Unity is our strength.

Contact Doug Bruggeman at 218-863-5910 extension 4352 for all building and grounds activity requests.

Please refer to the COVID-19 LEARNING tab for the most recent updates and information.
