Senior high mathletes (grades 9-12) have the opportunity to compete in some or all of the following: Minnesota State High School Mathematics League, Bemidji Math Contest, AMC-10/AMC-12, and Tri-College contests. Students may advance to the state meet in Math League.
Junior high mathletes may compete in Minnesota Junior High School Mathematics League, AMC-8, MathCounts, and Tri-College contests. Students may advance to the state meet in MathCounts.

The PRHS junior high math team did well in their fifth and final meet of the season for Minnesota State Junior High School Mathematics League. On Test A, Winnie Gray only missed one question to tie for second place. Zayne Schulte was the only one in the region to get a perfect score on Test B. Kinzley McKeag and Graham Tollerud only missed one 4-point question to tie for third place on that test. Overall, Schulte tied for third place in the West Central region. McKeag was one question behind him in sixth place, while Winnie Gray and Tollerud were right behind her in a tie for seventh place. After the two individual tests, the Vikings were in first place, ahead of Marshall by six points and ahead of Alexandria by eight points. Next came the team exam. Those three schools all tied for first place on that test, giving Pelican Rapids first place for this meet.
The Pelican Rapids Vikings team claimed the second-place trophy for the year and the Pelican Rapids Orange team finished the season in twelfth place overall. Earning medals for top-10 individuals were Kinzley McKeag and Zayne Schulte, who tied for tenth place for the year. Tollerud finished the year just question behind them in 13th place. Ryah Munick is also listed among the top 25 competitors.
