The Pelican Rapids Alternative Learning Center (ALC)

serves students in Grades 7-12.

Our goal is to bridge the gap between student skill level

and actual grade level.

Who is eligible to enroll?

Students who enroll in this type of program typically have or are experiencing difficulty or challenges in one or more of the following areas:  attendance, teen parents and/or childcare responsibility, working students, academics, chemical abuse issues, English as a Second Language (ESL), have NOT passed the Minnesota Comprehensive Assesments (MCA).

ALC Class Times

The ALC classes will be in an Individual Study format to meet each student's needs.

Individual Study classes will meet Tuesdays (1:00 - 7:00) and Thursdays (1:00 -7:00) in PRHS Room 54.


Admission

Students who are not currently enrolled in a Public High School will need to complete a registration form.  Acceptance into the program will be determined by a Student Success Team who will make their decision based on need, eligibility and qualifying criteria.
